DIANE VON FURSTENBERG
announced the CFDA’s four 2008 honorees: the Eugenia Sheppard Award
will be given to STYLE.COM EDITOR Candy Pratts Price, Carolina Herrera
nabbed the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, and New York City
mayor Michael Bloomberg will be presented with the Board of Directors’
Special Tribute.
Before announcing the winner of the International Award, DVF teased the
crowd by saying, "I'm going to play a guessing game. He's a man. From
my hometown." When the crowd guessed wrong, she clarified, "My birth
country – Belgium", before revealing it was Dries Van Noten. (March 11,
